How much will my alteration or custom design cost?
There are many types of alterations that can be done to a garment and so many different fabrics and cuts that go into a custom design. The truth is that you never really know the cost until Pilar can talk with you one-on-one to discuss what your needs are! Pricing at By Pilar Roa is always affordable as Pilar always aims to give fair prices.

How long will my alteration or custom design take?
When you have your consultation with Pilar, she will let you know how long she expects your alterations to take. If you need them done by a certain date, let her know so she can factor that in. Simple alterations can be quick, but more complex alterations like a wedding dress can take longer. Custom designs like costumes and prom dresses will also vary depending on the complexity.
Can my dress be made bigger?
Yes, this can usually be done! Every dress is different, but there is usually enough seam allowance to let out a dress by 1 to 3 inches. Pilar will be able to confirm if it is possible once she sees the dress in person or through a photo during a consultation.
Do you alter men’s clothing?
Yes, we tailor and alter all men’s attire, whether it is formal or regular wear. A well-fitted business suit or an extra comfortable jacket can make a world of difference!
How do I book an appointment?
We do not book appointments online but once you reach out to Pilar, she will let you know when you would be able to come in.
How are you maintaining a clean and safe environment in your shops during COVID?
Safety is always at the forefront when it comes to our clients and staff, and we have followed CDC guidelines closely to ensure all clients feel comfortable and safe in our shops. We require both our clients and our staff to wear masks at all times. You will find hand sanitizer throughout our shops for easy access.
